Do any parts from the 67 fit on the 217?? Also does any body have a down loadable manual for the 217 that they could send me?? I have one of both and the 217 looks like it could be made to work again but the 67 is pretty ruff so I would like to use the 2 to make one good one.
Thanks

I can't picture the 217, but I suppose it resembles all NH balers made after the 67 model.

It depends on what you need to swap. The knotter group should work and obviously pick-up teeth and such. Major assemblies probably won't.

I have a S67 that is more parts baler now than when I was actually using it to bale (missing all the "removable tin" and has had the left axle replaced with a "trailer type"), as I used a few items off it for my NH 68 (springs and knotter drive chain. The S67 baler was working until last year. Still has good knotters, pickup, plunger and gear boxes. The NH 67/S67 and NH68/S68 share everything but the axle/drawbar and the tin over the pickup part of the baler (although it could probably work).

I'm sure if you get the two side by side you'll be able to tell what will swap.

They are sort of side by side and thats why I'm thinking a lot of part would swap. All that is between them is a couple rakes and a bale or 2 of hay, round bales. When I look at them they look like the same baler other then when you read the tag on them.
