whom all made small manure spreaders, this one is about 40" wide and 8 feet long. orange and green in color with steel sides and wood floor. one spreader on the back has larger individual spreaders (about 8 of them) and two teeth type spreaders in front of that. it has a wierd hitch to it as well, meaning it rolls up or folds up, however you want to look at it that is. the guy that has it was pretty much all a.c. and david bradly.
thanks
Gary

thanks for the replys, that sounds like the hitch i have. all i could find for numbers were the ones stamped on cast pieces and they all start with LS, so does that sound like case numbers?

Yes, I have a sprocket in the basement that reads LS 450. Go over to the implement photos to the left, and scroll down to the search box. Type in case manure spreader, and see if it looks like yours. It doesn't show the hitch very well, but should clear up any questions about colors.

It's a Case, modelT6 is what I'm told. Supposed to be able to load this spreader while it's unhooked from a tractor. Once it's loaded, back the tractor up to the hitch. Should be able to lift the hitch up to the drawbar, hook up, and drive away. Never tried it myself, but it is supposed to raise the spreader up and lock in the hitch as you drive off. Takes a little over 15 minutes to load with a 5 tine pitch fork.

J.I. Case also used those orange and green colors. I have no idea if they had a spreader or not, but probably did.

Color sounds like an older New Idea spreader

You just described a spreader I just bought. I can find no identifying marks anyplace on it, other than the unique hitch. The hitch has two rollers and sorta slides up the drawbar frame for 1 handed hitching.

Mine is all metal with a wood floor. There is a rubber flap at the front where the chain comes in. The front piece of sheetmetal that supports the operating handles and makes up the forward section of the spreader box has an angle that points toward the tractor.

The operating levers can be "adjusted" for different angles when used with different tractor models.

The beater bars have single "spikes", rather than a single piece of metal bent to make two tines.

Mine has 5 - 7 (not sure of the exact number) "blades" on the back, each seperately mounted bolted onto a common shaft.

The apron chain is the standard 67H, not the international's long link.

I know that mine is not a New Idea, Furgeson, IH, JD, or Allis Chalmers based on the beater design, sheetmetal at front, or the apron chain used. I was guessing it to be a David Bradley, but I haven't been able to find any information to prove this yet. The unique hitch would I.D. it pretty well.

I didn't consider Case...

sounds just like mine. do you have the 7.5x18 tires also? part of the hitch on mine was cut off, above the top roller so if you could tell me what is there i would appreciate. for the two or three times a year i will use it this will be perfect. i just about welded the hitch tight, glad i did not.

I'll get the camera out and take a picture. I'll also look at my tire size. I know they are 12ply, but I don't know if they are 18's or 20's.

I know at 12ply they will never go flat... even if they are flat.
