Question about 1010 bale wagon

I live in Pa and work full time away from the farm. I currently bale about 3000 bales of hay a year using a thrower. No one around here uses a bale wagon, but I got to thinking about them a little bit. I see that the NH 1010 sell pretty cheap and have a single bale unload feature. When it unloads a single bale, do I have to stay on the tractor to control it, or can I start the process, have them feed into an elevator, while I stack the bales? I don't think I would use the stack feature much, mostly single bale unload. What requirements do these have for a tractor as far as hp, pto, and hydraulics? Thanks for the info,

Sorry about the double post. As far as hp requirements I've run mine with anything from a Farmall h to a JD 4430. The hitch was a bit weak on the H, there is quite a bit of weight on it. My Farmall M handles it just fine with two hitches welded together to double the thickness. It only holds upto 64 bales if single unloading and 56 baled if stacking.

On these wagons there is a control lever under the main load rack on the right side. You get lined up with the elevator, set the lever on the tractor facing controls just so, then go back to the unload lever. It is positioned so you can guide the bales on the elevator as they come off the wagon. To single bale unload these wagons is at least a two person job one running the wagon and one on the other end of the elevator.
