Here is the sellers email. Shaft on top roll broke. Thoughts??

The rubber on the rolls are in real good shape the shaft on the top roll needs repaired it is broke on the drive end and it could use a little sheet metal on the table. Other than that I believe it would be a great field ready machine. I priced the machine based on the repairs needed as you can see it is exceptionally low for the unit. I planned on making the repairs this winter but have'nt found the time to do it yet. If you are able to make the repairs this would make an excellent buy.

Look around for another $1000 or less you can get one in good shape. The rotory Mower condtioner killed the resale value on them I could mow 27 acres using a 756 D farmall low 4 in 4 hrs. I used left and right rakes made a great windrow for baling with a round baler

I like the idea of 6 acres an hour with my 3010D. I'd be happy with 4 or 5 acres/hr.

Just not enough ponies(or $'s) for a rotary mo-co....

Found 2 495's others reasonably close. Am going to check them out.

Right now I like the idea of the transport mode. Would seem to go into the barn better. A hydro swing would have to sit out...

Sounds like borderline JUNK to me. No telling how expensive those repairs can really be.

How can you call a Mower Conditioner "Field Ready" when the top roll doesn't work. I'd keep looking were I you.

Jim
