We have a 4500 and it has been through a lot. We bale horse manuar with it and it does that pretty well. We have replaced a couple of shafts and have had problems with the shafts pulling through the bearing collars and ripping part of the side of the sheet metal. It makes decent bales. Since this is the first round baler we have owned, I can't compare it to any others, but I will say they tend to squat a bit, but they are packed really tight on the outside. Dealer support is not the best, but we can have everything shipped to us and the bearings on the elevator chain (which need to be watched as they can go out at random rarely, but still sometimes) are a metric size that our local bearing shop carries. It is a really simple baler. The pickup teeth are rather pricy at $4-$5 a piece and they don't last very well if you are baling really wet heavy grass. In bluegrass, you can make some nice tight bales. If you have any more questions about the baler, feel free to e-mail me. Also, check the wiring for splicing, if it has been spliced, be warned the wiring harnesses are very expensive for these balers. I have saved my dad at least $400 on rewiring the box and a couple of the sensor. Again, a lot of these problems will probably not apply to you because you won't be baling corrosive (causing bearing failure), heavy, and wet horse manuar. Good luck

I can't help you much since I have never ran one of the balers. I have occasionally seen them and from what I have read the people who have them like them very well. Many say they are one of the best fixed chamber balers as far as making a nice bale. They look very similar to the Krone balers but I don't know if they are actually a rebadged Krone or not. Seems like the worst thing against them is the lack of dealers, at least in my area.
