I found the plat on mine, yours should be in the same place. If your standing in front of the tongue facing the machine it should be right befing the tire on the right side on a vertical frame rail facing you.

new idea plates had the model number and lot number on the plate. the year would be told from the lot number. the 310 was a 1 row picker, can't remember the older 1 row model offhand. plate should be on the left (hitch) side.

No. 7 was the older one row and they also made a 323 which was the Newest one I think.

Is this a pull type or mounted? If I recall correctly, every NI pull type picker I've owned had a plate located on the frame sort of to the inside of the Left wheel. It will face the front if it is there, I think.

Hope this helps!

Mike

It is a pull type. One row with 20" wheels. It has a big guard that has a good size plate with New Idea on it facing the front. When you say "Left" are you standing at the tounge looking at the machine or----- like behind the machine facing the front? Thanks Randy

Left or right should always, always be as if you were sitting on the tractor seat looking forward.

Dad was bad about that, left depended upon whatever way he was facing at the time. Drove me nutz. Pet peeve. :)

The number should be around the left inside wheel frame area (driver's side of a USA car if that helps you. If it were a newer 2 row with the channgable husker/sheller units then it would have another plate on the back to the right of the elevator for that unit.
