Which is the best, easiest, most trouble free NH bale wagon to operate. I've been looking at the 1002 and 1012,55 bale capacity styles. Are they better than the alttle larger models or are they more trouble? I have a 1200 Case DB so power is not as much of an issue as manpower is.

In all actuality if you want the easiest to operate go with the newest/largest you can afford and justify. Otherwise any balewagon that has been properly maintained and is properly adjusted will stack bales assuming your bales are square, solid and the proper length.

Ive got a NH 1002 very handy simple machine. My only complaint is that the stacks are only 2 bales wide and seem to be a little tippy. I beleave the larger wagons stack 3 bales wide making for a more stable stack.

You will find the larger 1033's and 1034's light years ahead in terms of function, capacity, and engineering. 1200 is plenty of tractor for them, a 1210 Case/DB was my bale wagon machine for years until I sold it.

Daulclan,
I cannot answer your question as I have never seen a 1012 but I do have a 1002. I like the fact that I can hay by myself and get the job done without killing myself. I would prefer that the push off be driven by hydraulics on their own instead of through cables attached to the second table. I also don't like that fact that the bale chute hinges from the machine and does not have a slide shoe or wheel to float on. The last item I will have changed by the time haying season rolls around next year. Pull type is not as handy as a self propelled but it is a lot better than the alternative.

From what I can tell the 1012 is basically the same but in a later model.
