Called back in couple days with info and talked to a nice lady, she got my order info and then said we get that in mail with a operator's manual at no charge today. I said you forgot to get my credit card info. She said we just sent you a invoice with the decals and you can send a check back to us then. I went ahead an paid then since I had credit card info handy. First time I had ever dealt with them so I was not a repeat customer, really surpised they ship first without getting paid first.

Got the decals and operator's manual in 2 days through the mail. Pretty good service in my book.

Vermeer also sent me a free operator's manual and parts book for my 605K when I bought it this last year. Did not even cost me a thing for shipping.

Located Herd Seeder Company on the web. Sent them an email about new decals. Told them I did not use credit cards and asked if they wanted cash, check, or money order.

The lady replied that the new decals and parts list would be mailed with an invoice. Just send them a check after I received the invoice.

Yeah, it is a rare pleasure to deal with a company that will do business with you on a kiss and promise. I will recommend them to anyone that needs a seeder.

I believe the reason for the all-too-rare great service is because it"s a small, family-owned business that began in 1948. It"s always been in a rural area and operates with the same values and standards that the business started with. Aside from the owner, David Herd, there are eleven full-time employees in the plant, three in the front office and two part-time. They"re good people from the "heartland", down-to-earth, honest and sincere.
