They are an ok baler. Like has already been said it takes a little TLC with the tying system. We have a 2.3 4 footer with over 30000 bales on ours now and have had some small problems . Some things to check whem looking at them include the splines on the ends of the pivot roller. We had to rebuild ours and went to taper lock hubs instead of splines. Also check the frame for cracks and welds. Those doors are heavy and if the baler has been pounded over rough fields the frame will crack. They are worth nothing if you own one and want to trade for another baler. If you have the power up front you can really make a tight bale. I run mine with 90 hp. If the tying system is having a good day there are very few balers that will make more hay in a day but if it feels contankerous you will rip your hair out bi#ching at the damn thing.

Owned two of them at one time,GP 230 and GP 250. The 4+4 made a better bale then the 4+5 they can get a bit labour intensive with age to keep them working- a lot of bearings to look after. the wrap system needs plenty of attention in regards to lubrication, keeping the works clear of debris and always keeping sharp knives . Make sure that the pickup pivots have not been moving around because the bottom roller bearing mounts have a nasty habit of coming loose- once the holes have been worn the bolts are next to impossible to keep tight. As for parts am not sure because Agco seems to ignore the older lines that they aquired from deutzallis. My two balers didn't make $2000.00 combined when they went through the auction ring!
