Its a peice about 3 ft long its a round shaft and on the end is a small shaft very short this piece is broken.

there is a FB-B manual available I was wondering if that is the same as mine and the 177 might mean 17 rows a 7 inches or something else.

FB-177B

Tom you're correct in 17 openers and 7 inch spacing. As I remember JD only have one style OM for a FBB drill no matter how many disks. Tx Jim

If you can't find a used one, you can order new ones from Deere by calling them @ 1-800-522-7448, with credit card in hand.

There are usually several people on ebay with manuals for sale. I bought a manual for my LL drill last winter directly from a person I saw selling on ebay. Price was 30% of a dealers price.

Try your JD dealer most of the manuals and many of the parts for older equipment are still available.

Tom,

Wait 'til Glen in TX logs on and you'll have your answer.

He knows about all things green and probably has a manual setting beside his morning coffee at the ready. :>)
