My brother just bought a KBA disc harrow, and I told him when I had mine there was a real nice pin that was pinned on so it couldn't come unhitched. I have been trying to find on and suggestions where you could get one.

That pin is 3/4" in diameter and with an eye on top with about a 3/4" hole (Not going out now to look) that a pin went through forward to back and through holes on hitch plates (special cast plates) with a spring pin to keep it from droping out and getting lost. That same pin was used on different machines (I know my field sprayer has the same hitch setup) and Deere should have it avaible. The hitch plates were also made for the pin to slide back and forth in a slot and not a round hole. The pin could easily be fabricated with a torch and welder. A round head pin will not work on that hitch without problems.

I"ve never heard of anyone being concerned that a disk would come unhitched because of the hitchpin other than the pin breaking. If you"re really concerned, any good farm store will have hitch pins that should satisfy what you are probably looking for.

That pin will work up and out if not properly fastened in.
