Take a look at these and tell me what you guys think. I'm looking for some type of quick attach and with different width implements, this might work. Won't be using them for any real heavy work. Hooking up 3 point wheel rake, bush-hog(shredder, rotary mower), sickle mower, 8 foot disc and bale spear for light round bales. You guys see any draw back on using something like this?

I bought a harbor freight quick hitch for $69. But I did have to modify it to get it to work. Still, for $69, I couldn't buy the steel for that.

There was a long discussion on those quick hitches in other forums. Seems the first batch had the bottom opennings bent in a little for a weld, and wouldn't fit on the tractor arms by a 1/8 inch or so. Was that your problem?

There was a long wait for the next batch of these, and the problem seems to have been fixed.

Only what I heard. Mine was ok. They are built pretty light compared to other makes, but for the proice, will do a good job up to 30 hp or so....

I prefer the type of quick hitch shown on this website coupled with a hydraulic toplink.

Hadn't seen those before. Was going to say not too bad for ligght duty, but then I saw the price. Yikes, maybe 1/2 that! Also never ever took me 30 minutes to hook up a 3pt.....

For $50-60 more you can get pats easy change, which are a little better design and put less stress on your 3pt arms. Sorry I get blocked if I try to post the web site, there is another discussion forum that features them & we aren't allowed to mention any trac

That stacked vertical deal will put some strange stresses on the arms, have to think about that for a bit. Will want to rock back real bad on heavy pulls, and rock forward real bad on heavy lifts. Doesn't look adjustable for diff tractors, so might be some slop there, which isn't good long-term.

For $50 would be neat to have around. For 109 bucks, add only a little & you can buy a lot better design.....

I found them Paul. They are a good looking setup. I like the way they "clamp" on the tractor end of them to prevent movement. I actually like them better than the ones I asked about. Think I'll Pat's a try.

I purchased in october a genuine JD quick hitch for $10.... was one of the first produced ones ( like for 730's and 4010's) but I rember having one when I was a kid and it worked fine.. led us to buy the newer better ones,.
