Finally rebuild that 7000 planter clutch

I have been putting this off since April, feel silly now because it wasn't that bad. It only took about 4 hours-could do it in 2-3 next time easy. That included changing all the associated bearings. Would have been faster if previous owner had been introduced to Never-Sieze.

I ended up replacing the shaft because the holes that hold the dog rachet drive blocks were wallowed out. I got the shaft from Shoup. Much nicer that the factory 1 piece for the 6-row narrow. The Shoup is 2 pieces-split just left of the clutch between it and the 1st row drive-came with a coupler. Will make it a lot easier if I ever lose a bearing on inside again will be able to pull only 1/2 of shaft and not the whole darn thing.

You guys were right, design is a little fruity with all those lock collars and cotter pins-but pretty simple and foolproof.

Thanks for all the advice you guys gave me a few months back-it did help.
