How big of a wagon (thinking of going with a gravity wagon) can I pull with a 4020.

Built a shop to kill time in and thinking of heating with corn stove(s).

we used to pull 2 of them out on the farm, but can't remember how big they were.

Unless you get onto soft ground, a 4020 should pull about any size gravity box you want. I pull two 170bu. wagons at a time with my 7600 (84 h.p.) and don't have any problem - unless I find a soft spot. One has extensions on it, so they hold about 20,000 pound of corn between the two of them. For road travel, it is recomended that the total weight of what you are pulling doesn't exceed twice the weight of what you're pulling it with though. (unless your wagons are equiped with their own brakes)

With that big of a tractor, it's more of what you can get at a good price. It'd be more cost effective to buy one of the many used smaller wagons that are popping up from all the smaller farmers who are having auctions and such. If you'd just be pulling 1 wagon at a time, you could go with a pretty decent size one for your needs.

Can't give an exact reccomendation on size though, just don't know enough about gravity boxes. We just got a smaller one at auction 2 years back for almost nothing so it's just fine for us.
