Skid Steer 3 Point Attachment

Has anyone built an attachment to run a 3 Point Implement (ex. Brush Hog, Tiller) on the front of a skid steer using the auxillary hydraulics to power a hydraulic motor for the PTO. I have seen them at Skid Steer Solutions, but I would like to build my own.

I've built one for using stuff like a post driver, grader blade, etc. Working on engineering it to use my post hole digging auger on it too. As far as mowers and stuff, that puts me too close to the action. Using it on an 1845C Case so there is plenty of flow.

There are literally hundreds of attachments available, including those you mentioned. Big consideration with a HM unit is hydraulic capacity. High speed, high torque rotary applications require a much bigger pump than what is needed to run a grapple, etc. Some skidloaders, especially newer ones, come with a high-flow pump. My Gehl 4625 can run a phd, snow blower on short runs, etc., but for steady work the 35 series would be better. Gather brochures from commercial mfrs to get an idea of plate thickness, framing, shaft sizes, motor size, etc. Operator protection is a must with any kind of rotary action in front.
