Is there a particular model number for a 3 bottom plow (3 -point) that will fit a 930 Case? Also, are there other brand plows that will fit?

Thanks,

RC

Do you for sure have 3-point or eagle hitch? Eagle hitch has two hooks on the lift arms and the arms don't swing. If you have Eagle hitch you are stuck with case plows as the arms don't move unless by chance another brand will fit. A 930 should handle 5-6 bottoms easy.

No, this is not an Eagle hitch but a custom built 3 point hitch..very heavy duty.

WoW;What are you waiting for. I had a 930 CK from new 1964.Always pulled 6- 18 's semi mounted with steerable tail wheel at about 5 inch depth.Ran at 1750 R P M in 3 rd.Is your traction control Draft O Matic, functioning.I could plow thru corn stubble and pass right on into heavy alfalfa sod and rpm never varied. The TC and governor must be set correctly and have plenty of weight up front.

3rd gear, before the overhaul I had it 2nd once but conditions for plow work was bad , and I didn't know better than to stop when there is water in the furrow... since then 3rd gear. Shawn

My orignal reason for a 3 bottom was to consider the age of the tractor but I d believe the 62 930 can pull a 4 bottom with no problems. I have 6 acres. My 930 has factory rear wheel weights but will I need weight up front for pulling a 4 bottom?

First ,any 3 point plow should fit,I use a ford 3-14 behind my Case 730,your 930 has about 40 more ponies than my tractor and should pull 5-6 bottoms with no problem,so why stay with a 3 bottom plow? I would look at a 4-16 as a staring point even if you have heavy soils...my 730 will pull a 3-14 through heavy clay and not slow down..Iam considering upsizing to a 4-16...with a 730....those extra bottoms do save time, just some food for thought , Shawn

thanks, I will check out a 4 bottom 16. Have a guy here that takes the larger plows and makes them to any size you want...very resonable too.

I guess you may have your reasons for wanting a 3 bottom??? We had 2 830,s , both gas, think they were 1965 models. Pulled 4-16,s in all kind of soils with both of them. Lots of low rpm torque in thos old 30 series cases.Your 930 should "play" with 4-16,s.
