I have a 5500 IH 15 shank and was wondering if there is a pattern to put on the R and L shovels, we had a 10 shank and we figured out a pattern but the odd number has me stumped. It has twisted on it now but there seems to be no definite pattern. any help appreciated.

When ever we use one (7 shank) they're all pointed towards the outside, the middle one is twisted to one side or the other, doesn't really matter which side. We'll be renting one in a week or so, so I'll take a look once we get it.

Direct all shovels to throw toward the middle. Leaves more uniform outside edge, and less tendency to strip. Put a straight shovel in the middle. Line of draft will be straight, rather than to one side. If you have tandem wheels, may have to reverse shovels next to wheels because of plugging.
