I am looking to replace our current 12' Massey disc with a JD 210 14' that I see listed in a local used iron paper. How are the Deere 210 discs? I plan to use behind a 90 HP Ford 7810S, 2WD and a 80 HP Kubota M9000 4WD. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Seems like every manufacturer has something that they always did right. If I were you, I'd go looking for an IH disk. I've never seen a bad one yet!, and I'm an Oliver guy.

Bought a new 14 foot in '77. Cone blades pull hard- takes a 4020 to pull it, 3020 is too light. (94hp and 70hp). Concave blades pull easier. Cast iron standards break in rock, axles are light. Doesn't penetrate all that well, and frame couldn't handle the extra weight if it had it.

If this is the first of the newer style ones like I am thinking of - they are junk
they are heavy, hard to pull, but won't go in the ground... we borrowed our uncles once- and that was enough .... went and bought an older JD instead - still use that one for little odds and ends - pretty much retired from major faming
