Just purchased a NH 450 sickle mower about 3 hours ago. Mower is in excellent condition but has not been used since last summer. What do I need to do to get it ready (winter project)for next spring to cut about 9 acres of fescue hay? I paid $300 for the mower and would like any and all comments good or bad about it. Anyone have an operators manual they want to sell? These mowers normally sell for more money in this area so I am pleased with the price.

Check for play in the wobble box bearings.

Make sure the sickle and the ledger plates are sharp and tight and it should be ready to cut.
