I have just bought a Athens plow. We call them 3 bottom disc brake plows because of disc not moldboards. It is a 3point hitch but has an extra rod that connects somewhere but where? It controles the tail wheel but I don't know where to hook it.

It sounds like you have a 3 disc botton plow, and the rod you are talking about is the guide arm drag link. They should be a guide arm to bolt on the front bolster of the tractor so when you turn the wheels the tail wheel turns the opposet way, or it could fasten to the 3 point some way. Taylerway made a 3 point plow that the drag link fastened to the bar between the 3 point arms and it worked like a simimount bottom plow. We had a HM150 and a A151 that guided from the front tractor wheels. I hope this helps you. Jim
