set is in pretty good shape except for 1 rear bearing and a grease fitting, using it to work up gardens

bearing is not metal, might be dense wood but sure looks like mycarda, has not worn into the shell yet so plan to grease it well and leave it as is

one grease fitting is plugged, check ball is missing, can drill it out but dirt would get in unless I make a cap for it, angled fitting is large (bolt sized) with extension to keep bearing from rotating inside shell

are the grease fittings available anywhere???

Hi, A good parts store,Imp dealer,or hardware
should be able to come up with a fitting. I may
have one but can't tell by the picture. In the
book it is a imp. part # rather than hardware so
it is special. I do have one pair of brgs left on
hand. They are hardwood and look like something else after turned in blackened grease over the
years.These bearing halves are just under 5 "long,
have center grooves for the spools and have two
holes for grease. $8 for pair plus a little P.P.

bearing sounds exactly like what I need, the steel shaft has a ridge in the middle of the journal to keep bearing centered over the journal

I am interested in the bearing, e-mail is above name at yahoo.com, I will watch there for your reply

will get digital picture of the fitting tonight
