Ron: My thoughts are a book with product history for over 100 years will probably not go into enough detail for you. I have the book 150 Years of IH by CH Wendel. These authors tend to do the complete tractor lineup and give a small sampling of implements down through the years. I'd be more inclined to go online with Binder Books, They have the rights to reproduce all old IH manuals. I know they do operator's manuals, possibly parts manuals. Tell them what you know regarding the one point fast hitch plow, and explain the basic difference in the two plows. Keep in mind there are a few manuals they don't reproduce, just not enough volume. I have two IH dealer parts books here and between the two they have sections on about 65 plows built between 1930 and 1970. These are 3 ring binder books and sections on specific plows have been removed. IH probably built a 100 or more different plows in that time frame. I suspect folks buy these books, remove the section on their plow, then put it back on market. I knew there were sections missing when I bought these books, thus I don't feel cheated. I was looking for as much info as I could get, on as many plows as possible. I wouldn't recommend that route if your trying to zero in on a specific plow.
