OT planting wheat drill or broadcast.

I have a field that didn't have anything on it all summer. I bushhogged it low and I am getting ready to disk it. I am planning on planting some wheat to cut for hay in the spring and follow that with some sudan grass. How many bushels or pounds of wheat do you recommend per acre for a hay stand. I am planning on spreading it with the fertilizer truck when it is ready. I have an old wheat drill would you recommend that over the broadcast method? Any thoughts appreciated.

The drill is better. Either will work. Think you need to go heavier a bit when broadcasting.

I would prefer drilling the wheat since a drill is available.Then run over it with a cultipacker or roller to firm it in.Seed rate is 55 to 60 lb. per acre or ask your seed supplier's advice.
