I know Arne Carlson of Eagle Idaho converted a #5 to 3 point hitch mount, but I don't know the details. If you email me, I'll give you his email addy.

Thanks Jim, actually what I've discovered is,.... I have a Case mower (painted green), and it isn't a #5 (or, #8) John Deere mower.
It does have a cylinder for the bar, and I think it can be converted to 3 point hitch with a little ingenuity. I figure a 3 pt (or, 2 pt) hook-up would be easier (and faster) then bolting it to the tractor drawbar the way it was originally designed.

Anyone familiar with this Case mower, I have no idea what model it is, it has the "break-away" sickle bar (7ft) and single tire on the back. It looks to be in pretty good shape except for the pitman-stick and the rear tire.

Thanks for the replies,
RoninKS

I have a #5 that is converted for the lower arms only. You still need a cylinder to lift the cutter bar. It has a bar that is about 1" by 3" bolted to the bottom of the original cross bar, with the 3 pt pins welded to it.
