I just bought this rake and am looking for a copy of the operators manual as hay season is upon me here in Australia. Can any body please help. Thanks Allan

NewHolland would probably be the quickest source for a manual. I don't watch e-bay very much, but I wouldn't be surprised if you saw one there from time to time. Beyond that, if you get stuck, just ask on this forum. I've had a 254 for close to 20 years. 20 years to long really.... but I'm familiar with just about every problem it could have.
My suggestions to you is that if you're using it as a tedder, then narrow the frame to it's closed position and lock the tine arms up in their latches for conventional tedder mode. This way you use the cam as little as possible. Those cams, and the cam followers and all their related parts will do two things: wear and cost you money. I'm never an optomistic person when it comes to using that particular machine. Been through it from top to bottom, inside out. If you need to know something, ask away.

Hi Allan. ebay has them from time to time. are you can get one from a New Holland dealer.
i got luky the place i got my 254 tedder rake from gave me the manual.
