Seen an ad for this item, I'm thinking it will replace the pickup on a round, or small square baler. Sounds interesting, want to learn more before I go look. Thanx

I know there was another company that made choppers to fit on the front of Deere round balers for baling corn stalks but I've never heard much good about them. The big problem I heard about was they were only as wide as the baler and wouldn't feed stalks into the baler fast enough to make tight bales plus it made them pretty slow.

You read the ad so you already know more than I do. What are you wanting to do?

Saw a Deere baler with an attachment like that sell this fall. Don't remember the brand.

'Round here, the trouble is the cornstalks stay too wet. Need to chop them, bale the next day after they dry a bit. Also as mentioned, slow to make a bale with only 2 rows feeding in - you have to drive for the speed of the chopper, not the baler.
