looking for mounted allis or ford corn picker. I have a 36 WC and want eather aln allis or ford picker. In the early 60sw some farmers went from the allis to the ford picker which they mounted on the WD instead of the allis.I know that there would need to be some modification do to no hydrolics on the WC and also the hand brakes. Does any one hav e any expertise or expeence ao these?

I had a Allis 33 Picker Mtd. On a WD45 for a couple of years but finally got tired of the extreme stripper roll shelling it did so I got rid of it and bought a Ford[blue one] and Mtd. it on my D17 and I finally had a very good picker. That Ford was the best Corn Picker I ever saw. This was in the 1960's and finding one not wore out will be a challenge. Good Luck.
