Im wondering if IHC made a pull type planter that was affexed to a tool bar. One to where the seperate planters could be slid closer together. Im wanting one thats steel wheeled. Im looking IHC way cause I have a big collection of plates to go with it. But my planter will not slide closer than 30in cause of the press wheels, so Im looking for one that will, say up to 20in rows, 2 or 4 row pull type

It would not be steel-wheeled, but IHC did make a unit planter very similar to the Deere #71 that could be set to any row spacing on the toolbar you want. My IHC book says that they had a minimum row spacing of 14". Model numbers were 185 up to 1970 then 295 after that.

I have a 4 row tool bar planter with hydraulics/wheels, round cans, once have fert. cans but they're long gone..is there a place on the planter that has the model number? There are some numbers on the gear box.
