In the stuff we are tradeing for is a piece of equipment. Its run off a PTO has to wheels in the back that can be adjusted up and down. Sort of a half barrel shape thing with L shaped blades that seem to spin off a main shaft. The L blade run parrel to the ground. I think its a mower of some kind but he says its a rock cusher. So what do you guys think. I know a picture would be better but we don't have any of the stuff home yet.

We used to have something similar. I think the brand name was Brady? We used it to shred cornstalks before plowing, and also used it for mowing down pastures, weed patches, just like a brush hog. Another thought that comes to mind is that it might be a "Lely" roto-tiller, used for working the soil, much the same as a garden tiller, but bigger.

The roto tiller thing is one I hadn't thought about maybe thats what it is. Once we get the stuff home I'll be posting pictures of the junk, or is that treasures LOL

Yep and right now the way things are its hard to even think about selling something. I've had a number of tractor for sale and so far none are selling. Money seems to be way to tight right now

I'm hoping that those ridiculous fuel prices were at least part of the reason for slow sales. Maybe things will start to pick up now? Otherwise you will just have a nice collection of yard ornaments. Of course, another name for those yard ornaments would be "museum pieces", and then you could charge admission.

At least if nothing else I'm saveing them from going to china and being cut up for scrap or maybe worse being used to make bombs that they will send back at us

Old there was a rock crusher like that it took a lot of HP to pull it John Deere in Springfield had two of them. One of them was in bad shape after they had leased it out. They claimed they would pulverize rocks pieces of wood after bulldozing, up to a size of course. My Dad and I tried to work a deal with them on it to try it, but didn't succede. I have also heard they could be very hard on a tractor. I don't know who built it.

I just remembered a pipeline went through just north of Ash Grove about that time and they one to clean up and it looked like a park.

Rotary ditch cleaner? Used to remove surface water from flat land- very common in the MN Red River Valley, Eastern ND.
