Source for vermeer baler teeth?

I have a vermeer 605h that needs quite a few teeth replaced, I priced them at the dealer and they are $8 each. These are the rubber mounted teeth that are mounted two to a bracket. Does anyone know a cheaper source for these or an implement salvage yard that might have some Vermeer balers they salvaged the teeth from?

I love to buy aftermarket stuff & buy cheap, but in this case what the others say is true. The real thing is going to give you a _lot_ better results.

I agree with everything Hay DR says. In addition, the "will fits" do not seem to be as stiff, so they do not feed hay in as well. This means that it could make the difference between starting a bale or spending 15 minutes on your knees unplugging the silly thing. $8.00 seems cheap then. BTDT and got the Tee shift.

You can purchase the cheaper rubber mounted baler teeth but you will find out that most of the cheaper teeth will not last more than one season. The cheaper teeth do not have a J hook in the rubber boot and the tine will eventually cone out of the mounting boot. Also the rubber does not stick very well to raw steel so the steel tine and steel mount needs to be coated with brass or something else so the rubber will adhere to the steel surfaces and stay there for at least 10 years.
