or is there one to buy? I have a leaky basement and I need to get to the front of my house and the only way to do it is from the side. I have a room above it and above grade so I can't go through the top. I have about 30" x 6 ft opening Is there a way to hook up an auger to the pto and run it horizontally?

What are you trying to do?

Do you mean can you hook on the end of an auger to turn it?

What are you trying to move? Water?

Trying to move dirt in reply to IaGary, 09-11-2006 08:03:03
I have a ranch house with a basement on a slope and a room over the front. The room over the front of the house the footer only goes down to the top of the basement wall. So the footer does not run all the way to the same level as the basement footer so I can get to that area to reseal and add a perforated pipe to help drain the water. That side is now open thanks to the dirt scoop I got for my 35 took about 100 or so trips but I removed all the dirt and am in the process of building a retaining wall.

I'm thinking he's gotta excavate some dirt next to the foundation, but space from above is limited due to an overhanging room, where he can get at it from the side with someting but he's not sure what...

depending what soil is like why not water jet your drain pipes in...we useta jet shallow wells when i still lived in galveston...regular water hose and a length of 1/2'' pipe with the biz end squished down to make two streams...i've sunk 4'' plastic casing down to around 50' before.
