Belly Mower

Some time ago I saw a picture of a belly mower mounted on a 3 point hitch. The mower frame extends forward from the 3 point and runs on caster wheels under the tractor belly. There is a gearbox driven by the PTO and all the belts run flat, no twisting around like most belly mowers I have seen. I cant recall who makes it. Maybe there is more than one manufacturer. Does anybody know who sells such a mower? 5 or 6 ft. cutting width would be preferred.

Thanks very much.

I know that Woods make a mower similar to what you describe. I have seen them used on Ford 8N's $ 9N's. Woods has a website, or check out Smith's Old Ford Tractors

I have a belly mower like you discribe that's fits a JD 820 or 1020 that I'm trying to find a home for. The gear box on the PTO would only fit JD 3 cylinder tractors but I guess it could be changed to fit others. I think this mower was made by woods.
