I have a Allis Chalmers 170 and I"m looking for a haybine. I seen a NH 467 for sale.
Would my 170 be right for the haybine.

I run a JD 480 9 foot haybine with my WD - you should have no problems.

A 170 Allis should play with it. I use an Oliver 77 to pull my NH460 and its 9 foot and it plays with the 460 and its only 38HP where as your 170 is around 54HP

35 hp! in reply to ng, 09-04-2006 23:39:11
The owners manual for my 1209 JD moco (which is 9 foot) specifies a 35hp tractor to operate! Is a ONE SEVENTY Allis at least 35hp? If so, you will probably be all right! I suspect that NH mocos don't require any more hp than does a JD to operate!

My neighbor ran a 9ft haybine behind his AC 175 diesel for many a years without any problems.
I don't think there is much difference between the 170 and 175.
