Have a friend that has a CRP Farm. He does LOTS of hay rides for his members and wants to buy a new hay wagon. We are having a hard time finding good used running gear in this neck of the woods (western Washington) Who sells new running gear these days? He wants to stay with a hay wagon instead of using a trailer.

On the wagon, check the internet newspapers, Propably Yakima, Omak/Okanagon valley or even up around Sedro Wooly you could find one. I seen a couple in a field near Snoqualimie 2 years ago for sale. I will be out there again in 2 weeks. Question; What kind of "Members" does a CRP farmer have? Just wondering. Bob

Bob, I got my initals crossed at 5 AM He has a CSA farm. Community Supported Agriculture. My Bad.
We have been watching the Capital Press and other papers but like most things when you need one you can't find one.Or at least one worth dragging home. Who makes new ones? Where are you going to be when you come out. If you have any free time look us up.

Chris; I did a search and found several mfg in the east. I dont know if JD, Massy, New Holland/Ford etc still mfg but if not I bet the dealers have a supplier. Check with some of them. I buy the kind of junk ones at auction or sale and rebuild them to fit my needs. Usually a little welding, some minor fabrication and new wood is all that is needed. Tires of course. A $50 wagon, $150/200 for metal work/welding, $100 for tires (used) and wood would be a lot cheaper than a new one. If its stored inside raw rough sawn wood (cedar?) is good. If outdoors treated or annual applications of linseed etc oil. If you want to make it nice have folding steps like a camper has for easy access and storage.
Where are you located? We will be in Spokane, Wenatchee Valley, Levenworth and Snoqualime, then to Oregon.
