If you have an operator's manual (if not you can find them on ebay) it will say how to set it up for the bigger bales. If I remember right from reading our 1034 manual (same machine but with single bale unload) the second table trip arm has to be reversed when working with the 16x18 bales.

Hi Cliff,
How do you like your 1034 bale wagon? I'm thnking about getting a bale wagon but am unsure about being able to single bale unload. My though is to build a shead to store some hay and then as I have time move the hay into the bank barn a single bale a time. Can they retrive and then single bale unload into a convaor?
Thanks, Wayne

We've had our bale wagon since it was new around 30 years ago but it hasn't been used in the past 15 or so years. We used to use it to single bale unload into an elevator but that function quite working, turned out to be the valve was sticking so hopefully it as an easy fix. We have the same problem you have, most of our hay sheds aren't big enough for the bale wagon. What I'm thinking about is building a 15 bale grapple for our loader so we could transfer bales from bale wagon stacks to hayracks in the field and then they could be unloaded either by hand or with the grapple.

There are companies that make a grapple exactly like what you're looking for. Maybe you want to make your own for a shop project, or save some money, but otherwise I know you could buy one.
