Hey Guys, I have a international hay rake that I am trying to restore. Does anyone know what color red it should be? I know that it is red, but I'm not sure of the shade/code number. Also, does anyone know what color white or off white the wheels were? Does anyone have any pictures? The rake is dated anywhere between 1900 and 1940.

Searches on the web have proved unsuccessful, though I might not be using the perfect search terms.

I found an old McCormick-Deering advertising poster image in my archives; the picture of their dump rake which I'm going to attempt to attach should give you an idea of the proper color scheme.

For more specific info on McCormick-Deering/International Harvester Corp. color schemes, the Wisconsin Historical Society has a wealth of info on the subject. They also have old IHC posters and other images up for auction on eBay. Do a search for ''Wisconsin Historical Society'' (be sure to use the quotes) and see what they have listed.

Good luck with your project, and be sure to post a picture of it in the "Implement Photos" section when you're done. We'd love to see it!
