Oh, I know the evils of it. I took a 2 year program and turned it into 4 years so I could still work and afford to pay my way through school and have play money. As far as who's equipment I'm running, that's a picture I took while cutting some 1st crop. My dad and i bought it on halves because it was the only way I could convince him to buy it after our 1755 blew up- this one's an 1855. We've been running it for 3-4 years now and overall it's been a good buy. Last fall we had to put a new clutch in it after the corn was off, managed to put it on the bagger so we minimized down time. The land is 20% mine as well, grandma gave it to me and my 4 older brothers when she passed away 4 years back. I'd just rather be in the feild instead of sitting in school. Right now my dad and I are forced to be weekend warriors because we both work off the farm and I also have school. I used to be able to do some feildwork after work before I got a new job in a different shop, going from 30-35 hours/wk working and 12 hrs/wk schooling, to 40+ work and on average 21 hours school. All but 3 of those hours are done Mon.-thurs. Keeps me busy I guess.... Donovan from Wisconsin
