Rare plow?

I found a case 2 bottom plow in a grove, which I brought to a show where I met a guy who was interested in trading me even-up for an allis chalmers plow. I pull it with a WD so I would love to have a matching plow, if its worth the same as mine, but some elders I have talked to say mine seems somewhat unusual. They think it is a late-'40s plow and was made for 3 bottoms because the one wheel sticks out so far, yet it has steel wheels and manual lift. There is no indication that a third bottom was ever there, but there are 2 holes where it could have mounted. It says EX-16 on the moldboards. Should I trade? If so, what should I ask for in return? I can e-mail pictures of the plow to anyone who can help me.

Bill,
I have a very similar plow. 2 bottom 16", "Case" in the top beams of the axle. I have been unable to find too much info on it. It was my Great grandfathers so I am hanging on it. My moldboards have the same EX-16. My points appear to be cast somehow since they are curved. I haven"t looked too much more into it yet. With some time I hope to restore just because it was passed down.
I do know that he got the plow around WWII, along with the Allis Chalmers WC that he pulled it with. Hopefully I will restore the tractor next year too.
