One lever (outside I think)is for the 3pt lift & the one right beside is for the cultivators. Owners maunal can show you how to set up the draft control for diff. conditions. OM Is a good investment for a general reference.

You must have a very rare 1010 as JD didn't build any of them in 1956!!!!! !!!!!

1010 came out in 1960 to I believe 64 with 65 being the 1020, could be 1 year earlier or later for the change, the 1010 was avaible as a standard, utility, row crop utility and row crop (36" wheels) with either single, dual front wheels or wide front axle, the 1020 was avaible as LU, utility. RU, row crop utility, or HU as a high row crop utility (36" rear wheels)all with wide front end

Its definitely a 1010, whether I dreamed it wuz a 56 or told it wuz a 56 I can not say for sure. Soon as I git time to look for the serial # then I will know. It hads the bull gears and sits high. 24 rear tires like my farmall 100 and 140. Enny idea were the serial # izz, Thanks Hobo
