Hi, Just wondered, if anybody has posted the section from the new holland operators manual which explains how to adjust the knotters and solve knotter problems on the web?
I think the knotters are very similar on the 370, 270, 375, 275 balers so this section would be common to most of the NH balers.

Cheers....

Thanks for all the reply's...
Just was really stuck for it at the moment and though I might be able to print if off quickly. One of knotters is being a real pain at the moment. Its being really intermittent. I'm located in Ireland, I'll get in touch with the local NH dealer and see how it goes...

Ah, those intermittent problems.... Some days I wish the thing would just break totally, so a person knows what to fix!

Sorry I'm not any real help to you.

Couldn't agree more paul... Atleast if it broke completely I wouldn't be going around busting every fifth bail, its almost teasing me to keep going....

Cheers anyway.....

Call CNH (Case-New Holland) Technical Publications. They have a couple of videos that explain the knotter operation, common mis-tie problems and adjustments to cure them. The Video shows the knotters in slow motion and takes any mystery out of them. The latest one I got from them, came on CD. It is titled "Square Baler Knotter-Operation, Adjustment, and Troubleshooting" The phone number is 262-636-7164. Ask for Larry.

Since it's copyrighted, only a very few would post such on an open web site..... ..

The manual is cheap from NH, and a lot easier to access when you need it. ;)

I have a photo copy of it at home, the originals disintegrate quickly in a tractor cab.

I do the same, more so with the planter. Got several copies of the planter settings in 2 of my tractors right now I'll bet.

I'm sure someone can supply a file or photocopy of the pages as well. I believe I have seen them posted here over the years once or 2wce.

All I mean is, no one will set up a web site with the entire manuals available for free - eventually the copywrite folks will catch up with that sort of thing. Just not going to happen. There is no point & click for this sort of thing, and explaining the why of it.
