Around here Polaris has so many long term reliability problems, i won't buy one. On the other hand, the Mule has proven itself as a good work horse.

My brother has had a diesel Mule for several years now. He uses it for work mostly, and it's been stone reliable!

Look closely at the detailed specs. You will see the Mule has very little suspension travel on the rear. They ride extremely rough even at slower speeds over rough ground. Neighbor had a brand new one. Look at the Polaris Ranger, and you will see that it has very long suspension travel, resulting in a much better ride. The Mule is more suited to manicured horse farms, and the Ranger is more off road type. Tom

We have a polaris 6x6 and it rides ruff as a cob . I dont like the shift selection , just high and low and low is`nt low enough for crawling around in ruff ground . It`s also mighty loud , could`nt sneak up on a fence post in it . Sorry I dont know anything about the mules .

I have also heard to stay away from the 6x6 models. I was talking about the 4x4 Ranger. Tom
