Howse rotary mower

Because of the somewhat finicky tastebuds of my four-legged lawn ornaments I have paddocks and pasture areas I need to mow. I have been looking at rotary mowers. I recently bought an old IH B414. I recently came across a Howse (hope the spelling is correct) rotary mower for sale. It is a 6 ft model and has about 3 hours on it.

A couple questions for all of you. Can my tractor handle this mower and is this a good brand of mower?

I thank-you in advance for any knowledge and information you can share with me.

P.S. Can anyone direct me to a source of a spin-on oil filter adapter for my tractor. I am having a dreadful tme with leaking gaskets on the cannister type that is on it.

I think the 414 will work the cutter ok if the grass is not too high. If it bogs you down too much in tall stuff, just take narrower swipes.

Howse cutters are ok, perhaps not the best brand but ok. I think they sell several different grades though, the heavier the steel is on the cutter the longer it will last.
