Vermeer WR-V10 Rake

I am considering moving to a hy-capacity 10 wheel rake. There are two Vermeer WR-v10 rakes in my area. What can any of you tell me about this rake? I am currently using an IH 35, but the neighbor stripped the gear box so I am at a cross roads.

The WR-V10 is a good rake. I consider it inbetween the carted style wheel rakes and the twin basket rakes that Vermeer makes. The rake is made by tonutti (sp?). There is nothing special to look for that you wouldn't look for on any other used piece of equipment. I think the price of a new carted rake would be a fair price for a good used WR-V10.

Jim,if you want a hi-capacity wheel rake then you need one that the rake wheels with teeth are inside frame next to hay being raked. If teeth are outside of frame hay flow can be limited in heavy hay.BTDT,Tx Jim

The WR-V10 rake has is a high capacity rake with the fram behind the wheels so the fram is not in the way. I was looking at new carted v-rakes and found that I could buy a very nice used high cpacity rake for the price of a new carted v rake. If I do go with the change I will go with the High Capacity version not the carted.

i have used and assemble the New olland Units model 154 10-16 wheel rakes and I really like them they are nice. Have 4 diferent units on the lot at present. they are made by Sitrex
