Anybody here familiar with these grinders? Never ground an ounce of feed myself, so have nothing to go on other than I felt price was pretty fair. Seen on their website it's a "roller" grinder. Has an electric scale(battery too), bin extension, and 100 bu. capacity. Several Lorenz dealers in the area, so I'll try to get a manual on this discontinued item. Big question would be how big a tractor (minmum) to run it. Was run by an 856 in the past, and was told it had no problems. I have 65 h.p. here, but can go the 4020 route if need be.

Your 65 horse tractor will run it just fine. A 40 to 50 horse tractor would be O.K.

Not sure about the Lorenz roller mill, I think they take less horsepower than a hammer mill. You can run it with your 856, just feed it accordingly. They are a simple mill, with common bearings you can pick up at any auto parts store or imp. store. Just keep it in a shed, rain is the biggest enemy for it. You might want to pick up an extra set of belts for it as with them not being made anymore, it might be a problem to get drive belts for it in years to come.

Thanks guys. I was guessing the old Case would run it. It was always shedded in the past and seems to be in rather good shape, just hasn't been used in a year. Belts, chains, and tires look good. With a $60 mix/grind and delivery fee at the Coop, it should pay for itself in a short while.
