Thank God for insurance

He started screaming, scared the cow and she pulled back, ripping off the tip of his right pointer finger right behind the first knuckle.

He's alright today, but now he'll have a heck of a story when he goes back to school this fall. We feel terible about it, but there isn't really anything we could do, and we're not gonna tell someone they can't help if they really want to. We'd give him a few bucks here and there and he was absolutely thrilled!! In fact, we just gave him a couple bucks last night befor ethis happened....

Today his dad seemed alright and he even helped us put up 4 loads of second crop, checking on Zach between each load.

I guess that's why we buy insurance, to cover our butts when something goes wrong like this...

The surgon said even if they did have it, it probably wouldn't be successful and all he could gaurantee was several hours of surgery. Turns out it was the same doc that re-attatched the very tip of one of my brother's pinkies when he was about 1 year old.

The dad has been having a really rough time lately, he lost his job a few months ago and is falling way behind on his rent, but we've been trying to work it out with him. Now this happens, but our farm insurance is gonna cover it. The 3rd time we've ever had a claim like that.

One time one freind shot another friend in the hand with a bb gun, and even though my brother didn't have anything to do with it, it still happened on our property. The other is when another brother got his head ran over by a wagon when he was about 2. He's got a very thick skull, even now some 24 odd years later....
