There are 2 tensioners on the box lid, 1 for each spool of twine, it looks like it would be good to run both strings under the tensioner on the left side of the twine box lid but DO NOT DO IT, it will throw the tension off and keep it from tying on the right side of the bale (TOO much pull on string, will not let knotter hold it). This is not covered in the operators manual but we found out by experiance.

Run two twines thru holes in side of box, and between the spring loaded pressure plates. Then thru the insulator on side of needle cover( bottom of baler). Then split twine and run a strand thru each of the insulators at the front of needle cover. Then thru the eye in each needle. Tie off the end on a convenient point on baler. Get baler running, feed in a little loose hay, and trigger knotter, Should feed twine into knotters, and be ready to go!

once you get the twine threaded though the needles, add hay and trip the knotters to tie, That will put the twine through and ready for the next bale.
