Friend payed a place to fix his 14T cost him around $500 to do the job. Well the strighten the tucker finger trip rod and well after less then 300 bales its bent again. Any body have that part laying around?? Either way I get to take my Oliver Super 88 and my NH 850 baler over to his place to do the rest of his hay for him. Not going to be fun takeing them 15 miles or so. We plan to drive the S88 over and I'll pull the bale behind my truck. Get to get up early tomorrow and see if we can get it all baled by noon at the latest.

Could be timing or bent needle. Just remember that those needles are malleable and meant to be bent to adjust them correctly. I know that we bent ours in the press a dozen times or more to keep them working right.

Nope not the needles I know for a fact its caused by the tucker finger trip parts that are bent.

Which rod is bending? The one that moves the tucker finger or the one that I think that has the roller on it that moves the whole tucker arm? I would suggest finding out what is causing it to bend before you replace it, maybe something is worn or out of adjustment enough to let the tucker finger hit the needle as mentioned already.

JD dealer strighten the part that has the rolloer on it and it just plain didn't stay stright. Also didn't help that the guy made double and triple winrows and squares balers and big winrows don't work well

Those parts should move very easily...I would find what is binding or hitting and correct that before bothering to straighten that arm again.

It did move pretty easy but when they strighten it out it had a sort of a twist which I think is what caused to problem. The plan is to get a good used part or new part and try again. Bad thing is I know I have the part some place, since I have a 14T parts baler but it was removed and probably fell on the ground and now I can't find it

That's EXACTLY whats happening... the needle is hitting the tucker finger.

Hey Old bet the tucker fingers hit the needle or the bale case is bent up just enough in that area to put them in a bind. Bet Donald Farm and Lawn will have the parts there in Lebanon.
Better bale that hay today if it will go they say rain in our area tonight. Hate to see anyone get hay wet but we really need rain here in the Ozarks, are you really dry up north of us like we are here in Springfield.

Got the hay up late this after noon. I drove my Oliver Super 88 pulling my NH 850 over there this morning and got very very wet doing so in a short 30 minute rain. We then reraked the hay and let it dry till around 3pm and then I baled it up. Got only 8 bales but at least thats some hay
