I think there is some aftermarket stuff, such as knives and bolts. I don't know if you could get discs or not. I never tried. When I need discs, I NEED them, and can't wait for the aftermarket stuff to show up. What you could do is find a local Kuhn dealer, and contact them with the age of the machine, and the cutting width, number of discs, and the blade length. The mower was made by Kuhn, fully, for NewHolland. It will have a corresponding Kuhn model number which will start with GMD.... and then a number. I have the NH 465 disc mower, which is a direct changeup to a Kuhn GMD77HD. To be honest, I think your mower uses the same components as mine; it just has fewer discs. Likewise, you can get many of the same parts from Deere, as Deere also sourced their disc mowers and discbine cutterbars from Kuhn for several years. Deere shot themselves in the foot with that deal though, at least locally. My local Kuhn dealer was just telling me about all the older Deere discbine's they've taken on trade, and sold new Kuhn discbines. Diehard Deere men won't buy the new Deere MoCo's..... . with the Deere cutterbar. Gotta have an orange mower. Can't say I blame them either.
So dunno about aftermarket parts, but you could check around with other color dealers and compare the parts you need. They are the same, provided you match the cutterbars. HTH.

Thanks for the info, the problem is I need a whole set. I'll try Deere and Kuhn. The NH dealer wants $850 for the HD set.TIA

Thanks Rod in reply to RodInNS, 07-07-2006 14:46:45
That is some really helpful info. From what I see briefly the 265 deere may be equivalent to the 462 NH. If so I can get parts in town instead of driving 30 miles. I can also do online part searches through jdparts. Thanks again.

I was never able to find any aftermarket parts when I was working on mine this spring. I wound up buying all NH stuff. The prices really weren"t too bad. Maybe I"m just conditioned to them. Got a 5/8 x 10 bolt, washer and locknut from AGCO yesterday for $29.68. Ouch.
