...parts to repair our old self propelled 14" Hesston mower-conditioner. I"d sure like to have her on line again. It had almost always been an enjoyable machine to opperate. Makes a Heck of a nice 2" standing-up tdrying second cutting windrow. I sure miss it. Any help will be appreciated. Fernan

Fern,

just talked to him this morning and I have a couple of numbers for you. It is newer than yours, it is a 620 but the header should bolt right up to yours, he re-worked it but the pittman arm is broken and so forth. I will e-mail you his numbers, let me know what happens and if you are coming over this way, I can help you get it loaded up with my equipment.

I need the "12' auger for a selfpropelled model 1014 Hesston." I need to find one before deciding how I'll get it here. If the machine was close I may just cart the whole thing home. Thinking about a thousand mile trip, I may just work it into a week's trip and take the back roads the whole both ways. Can't enjoy the true American scenery from an expressway.

There are a few around here.(southwest Nebraska) I know where there is one that might have a good auger but how you gonna justify the drive?

I"d like to hear what is in your neighborhood, when you"ve the extra time or in passing. We are some distance apart but was figuring I"d only find a good auger in a drier climate. Humidity here is high and also takes its toll on man and machine. (That"s even without road salt!)

What year is yours? I have a 1967 9' that is all belt-driven. It does a good job and I'd never go back to sicklebar, but it's a pain maintaining those 7 belts. What do you need for parts?

Thanks for the response Bernie. The machine is Winter pictured a couple pages back for a look see. My machine is a self-propelled 12 foot cut. Hmmm, I've never been to Maine. But I have a gr-grandpa 13 times removed who had stepped ashore on Plymouth Rock.
