Does anyone know of a source for old fashioned binder twine to be used in a 10 ft. cut Mc cormick-Deering PTO grain binder? Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Here in eastern Ohio the Landmark feed and farm supply stores have binder twine.

I have yet to get some for my binder but it sure looks like the same ball for the AC rotobalers would work. I got my last rolls from it from a local Orscelens farm store

For those that do not realize binder twine comes in a ball 7 1/4" in diameter and 6 1/4" high and regular baler twine ball is 9" diameter and 9 1/2" tall. Just came in from measuring some. Do not know footage of binder twine as wrapper was gone 40+ year ago. I do have a JD corn binder.

My McCormick corn binder will not work with baler twine. I did a search and bought some online. Round baler twine would sure be easier but the times I've tried it, the lack of uniformity (esp. diameter) was frustrating. Someone obviously still makes binder twine in the original size balls so that's what I get. A little goes a long way anyhow. Ben

Twine for round balers comes in 16000 foot ball- about the same thickness as binder twine was.
